We are a Retired Military Family; We have been stationed in many parts of the World; Germany being my favorite; mainly because of the friends we met. We worked together, we played together, ate together, watched TV together, (mostly on VHS); these friends became our extended family.
There was only one TV station that broadcast in English. But somehow that was not a big deal. We had our Military Family. While watching TV or movies on VHS we would point out objects in the background (i.e., Pepsi, Coke, McDonalds, KFC,etc.) all the things that would remind us of our homeland. (America).
We will always be eternally grateful to all Military Personnel who defend our country; (keeping us safe and free ) so we may continue enjoying our freedom to do the little things we enjoy so much, like watching TV.
TV is such a wonderful invention. It not only keeps us entertained, it educates, keeps you up-to-date with news, world events, weather, the list is endless.
"Daily TV Talk.com" was conceived through the memories of our extended Military Family.
